Since its inception in 1972, the SLBWA has grown from an organization that focused solely on running a sheltered school and workshop for the blind, to a dynamic organization offering diversified services directed towards persons living with blindness, low vision or other forms of visual impairments in St. Lucia.

The impact of blindness affects everyone…the individual , the fami l y , and thecommunity and nation.

Our goal at the SLBWA is the preventing of blindness and visual impairment while restoring sight and creating opportunities for those persons whose sight cannot be restored.
